All of our goats and sheep come with USDA eartags marking their point of origin. This is now a law in the state of Pa. All goats and sheep are up to date on their CDT, Rabies, and worming.
The ram used to sire the lambs for 2012 is the big black headed Kathadin Dorper Cross standing in the background of the ewes here- Oreo. He is very big and solid at least 200lbs. He is a two year old. These are some of his ewes. Big momma, Red, Marshmellow, Kathy, Fuzzy Wuzzy and a few yearlings from last season we obtained by trading shearing services for lambs.
All of the animals we are bottle feeding will be used for our 2012 petting zoo. The closer they get to weaning the prices will change accordingly. These animals are not intentionally pulled from their moms they are removed only when Necessary- I believe 100% in allowing any mother animal to raise its offspring unless imminent harm or death are to be prevented. Our animals have been chosen and raised from Good Mothers so the instincts of mothering are there. We do get new animals whom we know nothing of and these are the situations in which we we pull a baby and take over the care or in instances of multiple births. I do not reccomend bottle feeding as a means to make an animal friendlier- Bottle fed animals tend to be more of a nuisance animal than a pasture raised animal and will always demand your time- Not just after the need for a bottle has past but for their entire lives.

Big Momma is a colombian Dorset ewe. She is 4 years old. Last year when bred to a larger ram she had twins this year bred to my ram she had a single ewe lamb. The ewe lamb was born on 1/29/2012. Very good mother. Selling the pair for $350.
Ewe lamb born 2/7/2012 White with brown spots $200. This ewe was bred to my Oreo. My other two katahdins are bred to the katahdin ram pictured in the second colomn so the babies will be pure katahdin.
Oreo isjust turning 3 years old. We have owned him his entire life. My Girls bottle fed him. He is a Katahdin Dorper cross. Only reason for offering him for sale is we plan on keeping all the ewes that do not get sold this year and that means we need to change our ram. He walks on a lead. $300.
Pygora nanny $200.
Twin white polled nigerian nannies $150 each.
2012- All kids and lambs must stay with mom for at least 8 weeks. Deposits hold the babies until they are ready to go home. If you wish to bottle feed we will only pull one baby from a set of twins and for best results this should be done no sooner than 2 days and no later than 7 days.
